Axis Communications was founded in 1984 in Lund by Mikael Karlsson, Martin Gren and Keith Bloodworth and has since grown into a global leader in networked video surveillance and security technology. The company has been part of the Canon group since 2015 but continues to operate as an independent business offering its own surveillance, access and intercom solutions - all with a focus on smart analytics and AI.
Today Axis employs around 4,000-4,900 people across offices in more than 50 countries, offering a wide portfolio of products such as network cameras, video encoders, network audio, radar and physical access and intercom systems integrated with advanced analytics.
As an employer, Axis provides creative, technically driven teams in Lund, Linköping and Stockholm, with particular emphasis on R&D and student-friendly collaborations on theses and summer jobs where ideas often turn into real products and patents.
