Care to Translate was founded in 2015 by medical students at Karolinska Institutet and offers a digital medical translation app now used by over 700,000 people in more than 180 countries. Supporting 130+ languages and a phrase bank verified by medical experts, the app helps clinicians communicate safely and effectively even when an interpreter is unavailable.
Their mission is to secure equitable care by reducing the risk of mistreatment, extended hospital stays and misunderstandings. The app works online and offline, in text and speech, and is tailored for different care scenarios - from ambulance and intensive care to pediatrics and dental care.
At the workplace, values such as equality, quality, respect and transparency are emphasized. The roughly 40-50 person team in Stockholm blends technical product development with social impact and is looking for people who want to help make healthcare more accessible for everyone.
