CLING Systems is a Stockholm-based startup founded in 2020 that builds a digital trading platform - S1 - where surplus and used batteries from OEMs, recyclers and energy companies can be bought and sold globally. The goal is to ensure transparency, efficiency and sustainability across the battery lifecycle.

The team combines technical expertise with industry knowledge to enable "battery circularity": reuse, repurposing and recycling in one seamless flow. The platform automates logistics, documentation and contracts, and provides structure for complex transactions.

CLING has also entered partnerships with actors such as Farasis Energy Europe to market second‑hand EV cell modules for energy storage projects - a clear example that the circular economy is not just a vision but can be scaled commercially today.
